Reaching to cut a branch ..
This is hard !
He had stopped ..
For my friend who made me feel okay!
Only a sliver ..
Portrait of Leia
Yes .. No .. Maybe ..
One ...
Raindrops, so many raindrops ..
It was coming ...
Still opening, yet so fragrant ..
One of the Big Boys ..
Busy ...
Airshow ..
Just missed shooting him in action !
On a Florida blue sky day ..
You What ? Oh, just let me talk to you!
Quack ... quack ... quack . .
Afternoon stroll ..
Modern Old Florida feel ...
Humans need signs for everything..
Can you imagine ..
Late afternoon & Spanish moss ..
Mockingbird dining ..
Wow .. oh, my !
Fronds in B&W
No waiting ...
The Den of Viburnum ...
Amaryllis #2
Intersections ahead !
Flying Ant Formation ..
Tree talking ..
Colors in the sky ..
Flight plan ?
We three planes are ..
Mockingbird has his dinner ..
Tree-top Diner in Black & White . .
Bring your camera .. come sit with me!
In beauty, there can be darkness..
Share ?
Got it!
Where did I bury that ?
Coming down for supper, lady ..
Sunlight hidden, yet not ..
Seeing things over-head ..

Flowers are Red ..

Amaryllis under the orange tree ..
still blooming with filtered sun falling on them ..
making them more beautiful, if that is possible ..

"The little boy went first day of school
He got some crayons and started to draw
He put colors all over the paper
For colors was what he saw
And the teacher said.. What you doin’ young man
I’m paintin’ flowers he said
She said… It’s not the time for art young man
And anyway flowers are green and red
There’s a time for everything young man
And a way it should be done
You’ve got to show concern for everyone else
For you’re not the only one
And she said…
Flowers are red young man
Green leaves are green
There’s no need to see flowers any other way
Than they way they always have been seen ..."
(partial lyrics)
We, my teacher and I, played this song for every intern, student teacher and volunteer we had when I worked in kindergarten in North Carolina.
Some were deeply moved, others not so.
Teachers mold our children, consciously or not; I think all should be required to listen to this Harry Chapin song before setting foot in front of any youngsters.
But, that is my opinion.
Hope you will listen to the YouTube link; the words are more than just about children ...
May you all have a beautiful weekend, my Friends!
