Leaves of many colors..
A waterfall..
In hiding..

Light followed by stormy clouds..
Ever get the feeling..
Is it soup, yet ?
Have you noticed..
Temptation... to stop..
Skirt just flying..
What cat-thought is in those eyes ?
Need a job ?
Mountain greenery...
Catfish version of 'Jaws' . . .

St Mary's Episcopal Church

".. one of the churches of the Frescoes
.. construction on the church began in 1905
.. first service was Christmas Eve that same year
.. Rev William Savage held services here
.. he eventually retired to Glendale Springs, becoming the only resident priest in the County before the 1970's
.. Rev Savage died there in 1934
.. in 1971, Bishop Henry sent Faulton Hodge, a seminarian, to Ashe County for the summer. The following year, after his ordination, Father Hodge returned to Ashe County becoming the Priest-in-Charge.
.. Father Hodge's interest in art and his meeting with Ben Long led to the painting of the Frescoes for which the Parrish is famous. "

Peggy C club has replied to Léopold clubThese are wonderful churches and if you get one of the local folks to give a history of how the frescoes were done --- it will be more than worth the trip !
