Monarch (Danaus plexippus)(f) ~ Maybe the last ... ?

This beautiful Lady came through today. I saw her arrive and feed solidly for 30 minutes and then she was on her way.

They started early and are continuing to come through late

There is an urgency to them now. Its getting cooler and we are due rain and there is little left for them to feed on and she may be the last I see this year.... maybe...

Ron... all but one that has come though this year has been perfect... the one that wasnt had a torn wing...and that I felt wasnt "wear" it was injury.

They were getting September hatchings on the east coast because the weather was excellent . Any help the numbers can get is so needed... here is a link to the News... the first ones are safe in the Sanctuaries in Mexico now ! This is the site I report my sightings to as well
