It breaks my heart sometimes that he still has the fear aggression from the abuse... but we have come SUCH a long way in 9 years. We have climbed emotional mountains.. both of us. He would die for me.. and I for him.

He misses Lucas... Lucas was the only dog he could be around....(its why I cant bring in another dog) we all miss Lucas.. Flix has aged in the nearly 4 mths ... smiles.. so have I.

BUT... that cuddle... that deep sigh as he lays against me at night on the bed before we go to sleep.... its worth every second of the struggles.

Oh, that is way too much cuteness for my eyes! I love him, and I see by the comment above that you've gone down a hard road rehabilitating him. You're lucky to have each other!
