We have some small 'volunteer' sunflowers that grew from bird feed. Is that the same as 'false sunflowers'? Good shot, btw.

Thankyou Dick !

No.. not the same.

These are indigenous.. and survive the droughts and grow in profusion ! The butterflies love them.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! *claps hands wildly* Very nice fly picture too, by the way!

I was *JUST* showing Steve a picture I took of the "False Sunnies" that I have planted in my new garden! Such a funny coincidence! :)

I don't know if you've seen any of the articles I've written in the past few days, but I just finished one that mentions YOU and features pictures of YOUR seeds that have turned into SEEDLINGS! :D HOORAY!! :)

Just been and read it and commented !!!

The Sunnies are well behind(so is everything) and these first few flowers are on much shorter stems. There are zillions of them .. . We have storms all this coming week and we NEED the rain. Hoping it will bring everything on a bit.

Love seeing insects on the flowers...it just makes them somehow more appealing. Even a lowly fly can add to a flower shot. Nice work Pam!
