Looks like WAPA and the Flandreau municipal are almost done getting ready to bury the backup line. Glad they haven't touched those big GE pellet arresters... yet.

Janet Brien, , Jesse Lor have particularly liked this photo

A nicely-taken picture of this ?power station?...wow...your stream is totally full of power pole-oriented subjects! I am curious...why all the pictures? Is it for work or are you fascinated for a particular reason? I, myself, find power poles and lines artistically interesting sometimes but honestly, I usually try to remove them from my pictures, heh.

BTW, thank you so much for the comment you left for me regarding STINKY STINKY STINKY shells and your experience with ODIFEROUS PIG PENS! :D Yeah, I BET you had to shake your winter coat...that reek is just horrendous. Thick stench like that really does get into clothes because it's actual molecules of the nasty substance in an aerosol. So if there's too much of it in the air, there's plenty to stick to and settle into anything we're wearing. Disgusting, isn't it? I never understood why a smelly place can "follow" you until I learned about the reality of the molecules...EWWWW!! :D

Substation is the word you're thinking of.

My power line photography grew out of collecting insulators once used on power and communications lines, particularly after having found an electric distribution pole that still had glass insulators on it. But yes, otherwise, if the subject isn't power lines, I do try and keep them out of the picture too.
