Happy Anniversary in White&Red
Today we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its Independence after 123 years of foreign oppression.
So if today evening you see white and red illuminations around the world, they will be just for that.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa,
the pyramids in Egypt,
the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking Rio de Janeiro and
the big wheel on the waterfront in Santa Monica, California,
are on the list to join the event :)

It is not the Polish flag, it is a tent shot some years ago at a reenactment event, but I liked its colors and saved it for the occasion : )

We went out of the fire of Nazi Germany and Soviet Union into the frying pan of European Union.
But years between 1918 and 1939 were good. Very good.
Now we are rebuilding our country based on the experience of those years.
