That are jaws, they love the sand. They are formed by the wind which comes mostly from west. So we say in German: "Windflüchter" (direkt translated = wind refugees)

Jaws? I don't find in the web a tree corresponding, can you enlighten me more? In here trees are often formed by the wing as we are a windy country...

DeepL had suggested the word "jaw", but you're right, the internet don't know this word.
I found only the German site in Wikipedia that shows our tree, a Kiefer. In English there always appears Pine - but that means another tree I think

Now I see what it is. Wind shapes trees in a way that it is sometimes hard to identify if you do not see them in real life or in close-up... Pinus sylvestris is the wild coastal pine, we have the same here as well as the mediteranean one, Pinus pinea....
