Submarine drydock crane

From Birkenhead Priory's yard.
The expansion of the docks cost the parish most of the housing which the church here served, and later cost the church its graveyard, and then its purpose, since the community had been moved along!
The ancient (11th Century or so) priory at the site is, however, now a museum, and its chapel is in use again.
