Batterie Todt magazine swastika

In the Batterie Todt, number 4 bunker, near Calais — once a German gun which could fire far enough to reach England.

Found, by chance, with refreshing lack of healh-and-safety mania, or indeed "restoration".

It was pitch black down here in the magazine, so I was using my camera's flashgun as a means of getting glimpses of rooms.

Needless to say, this one lept out and scared the **** out of me.
