The nature wakes up ! In a very beautiful way !

LOVELY, Keith! What a super presentation to appreciate. The catkin is a type I've not seen before though I've seen willow catkins before. Love the "hedgehoginess" of this one! :D I love the diagonal line of the branch and the perfect dof for a soft background and crisp subject details. I also love that that lush green of the leaves has a soft brown bg for contrast. Woot! :) Were you weaving around with your camera to get the colors contrasting? :D Finally, the dried vine stem that undulated along the branch is one of my favorite parts and I dance happily along its path through your picture :)

I took pictures of catkins and pussy willow ?buds? a few days ago...will post them at some point! :) Hope you folks are doing great! We're off on our nearly 6-month trip (w a 2.5wk break in the middle) and having a great time! You are on my mind as I immerse myself in fabulous photography!
