Thank you Roger. They're not endangered as far as I know. Lots of birds are ringed so that they can be tracked as they travel around.

On Skokholm, there are "mist nets" out in various locations and they're checked every 20 mins. Details of birds with rings are noted. Those without rings are ringed. All details go to the BTO and various other ornithological organisations around the world.
