This week in SSC:

"Patriotism"

I know it might seem pretty typical for an American to have an American flag but this is actually the first flag that I've ever owned so it does feel very patriotic to me. I was excited to see that it was even made right here in America and has some very nicely stitched stars on it. I'm happy that we will be making things here again from now on.

...and for Sight and Sound:

Seal from his album "Seal IV" (2003)

Hi Karen

A very nice picture, and very well taken. Just the one central star in focus to show the needlework. Very clever!!

Fantastic colours too

Be very interesting to see what happens in your November elections, and the effects on American manufacturing! Mr T is always in our news!!

Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!

Thanks, Peter. I have my fingers crossed for our upcoming election.

It's been so long since I've seen a "Made in America" tag on something. It's a nice feeling. :)

I see the flag as a symbol of belonging to a country that all people need. No matter what skin color or origin.
Beautifully crafted flag, wonderfully shown, Karen

Oh, it looks like very high quality! The stars are stitched, not only printed.

And I know that there is a very strict flag code for the US flag! It should never touch the ground, it should never be used as wearing apparel and it should be folded ceremonially and neatly for safekeeping. There are some other points as far as I know ... :)
