Not this year's leaf

I found this lacy leaf on the basement floor this morning. It must have come in on my shoes from the garden. It is certainly a previous year's leaf, gone through at least a couple of years stored in a bag, in anticipation of being added with other old leaves to the compost.
I clipped it with tweezers and a paper clip to a stove damper to take the picture with the kitchen window in the background. It's a darkish day and I used a very high ISO.

EDIT, later: I just realised that most people would be confused by my use of "damper." You probably call it the electric burner or something similar.
