Potted, not quite forgotten, azalea
Star flower
Boy and butterfly
Crackers going crackers
Oneof our rhododendrons
On display
Focus? Why?
Lupin
Something will break your fall
My favourite European Leopard Marsh Orchid
Waiting for supper
Some bee, some vetch
At my feet
Yellow clover
Not this year's leaf
Norma and Eli
Bluejay being insectivorous
Feral dianthus
The view from my bathroom window a few minutes ago
Blue bells
Shag Rocks
Stacks
Same stack, different view
My moss-and-liverwort garden
Fresh leaves
Bluejay, grateful
Dandy Longlegs
My pet pine, my pine apple
Holding up against the rains
My pet pine
Summer's return reminder
Hoverfly, I think
Maybe summer. Maybe.
Brushing my teeth, I look up and see this
Juniper, frisky
Maple opening
Juniper. . . . Oh, okay: "larch"
As good a whale picture as I could get
Pussycat tree
Plant nursery, starting up for spring
Kissing his mentor's fore-brain
Catkin caught on the clothesline
Larch flowers
Magnolia
Coralberry flower

And so it goes.

"And so it goes." That's what Kurt Vonnegut wrote every time someone died in his book filled with deaths, Slaughterhouse Five.
Among the leftovers of a maple tree's flowers, and a few needles dropt from a yew, there was this bouquet of junco feathers on the sidewalk in front of our house this evening. Something killed it. Perhaps the same thing pulled it apart, and carried the meatier portion somewhere else, maybe to share with its young. I dunno. But it's all a circle. And that's how it goes.
