My Cousins

This morning, when I realised it was my cousin Rosanna's birthday, I
went looking for an old photograph of her. I had scanned this
negative, from 2001, a while back but had done nothing with it until
today.
Birthday girl Rosanna is on the left and her younger sister Shirley on
the right. The two kids are Shirley's. We were at the grave of our
aunt Rose and grandmother Rosanna for the annual "flower service" at
that cemetery.
The name Rose and its varieties (Rosanna, Rosalie, Rose-Marie, etc.)
continue to be reproduced in my family line. Shirley, by the way, was
named for another aunt in that family, who in turn was probably named
for the film star, Ms Temple.
This was Tri-X in my Minolta Hi-Matic. I owned several Hi-Matics over
the years, but I think this was the Hi-Matic F which I liked so much I
went on to get other models.
