Jay, rain, nuts

Apparently unrelated to the big tropical weather in the news
elsewhere, today (and for the next few days) we have warm, heavy rain
and very dark skies.
Around lunchtime, this jay came a-calling, so I dropt some peanuts on
the deck for him. He cleared away a dozen and a half nuts without
letting any of his fellows know about the windfall. No doubt they
were off sheltering somewhere.
Who knows? Maybe he was delivering the peanuts to the rest of them.
OK, I doubt it.
