This was a pretty nice picture in colour but, looking at its long
tonal range I thought it might be good as black and white too. So I
did a fairly neutral conversion (that is, without a colour filter) and
then punched up the contrast even more than it had had naturally.
It was shot in the Fuji X100 at quite high ISO but recorded as a raw file.
