We got our first snow a year ago. Even a bored photographer should be able to make something of new snow....
==========
There's a question under the 366 Snaps pic about whether I like the Nikon 1 V1. I gave a mixed answer:
I like the V1, but if I had it to do over again I'd likely buy one of the m4/3s. Between the quirky camera and Nikon's weak C-mount ecosystem, I'm not entirely happy. That said, it's a very good camera.
It's worth mentioning that the Nikon 1 ecosystem has improved considerably over the last year. They've added a bunch of lenses and improved the camera offerings.
I'd still likely go with an m4/3 if I were starting from scratch. Since I've pretty much worn this camera out, the question's of some relevance, and I'm still/again considering my options. The Olympus OM-1 series looks quite attractive these days, albeit a bit pricey. And, of course, I'm now invested in Nikon 1 lenses, with the usual tendency towards brand lock-in.
I'm quite hard on cameras. A user who's less abusive likely wouldn't be talking about a worn-out camera.
