A year ago I was in a hurry, as the day's plan was to accompany my brother on the first of what would prove to be an unending run of doctor's appointments.

Since it was the first day of the month, last August 1's 366 Snaps plan was simple: Oreo. So I followed her around for a bit, eventually capturing a useful image of her sunning herself at the door. That's below.

I also found time to snap this pic of Taffy, sunning herself elsewhere in the living room. In fact, right now she's doing much the same thing at the same location.

After his appointment, my brother and I found our way through unfamiliar corridors to our sister's room, elsewhere in the hospital complex. A small adventure, but in hospitals you take what you can find--and pray that no big adventures find you.

The EXIF data says I'd set up the D300 like my V1--which is to say, with manual exposure settings. This setup would cause me some problems the next day, as we'll see, and I'd abandon the experiment and return to my much-more-usual aperture priority. I should try again....
