Grand Ledge Opera House

The Opera House was built in 1884 as a roller rink--Grand Ledge was a busy resort, and needed entertainment venues. It was soon converted to an opera house, an identity it retained until the late 1920s, when it became a furniture store. The Mapes family donated the building to the city in the 80s.
Since 1993 the beautifully-restored Opera House has been a community and cultural center.
