They are such beautiful flowers

They are such beautiful flowers
They close up their blooms when the light goes - when it's sunny, though, they open right up and look amazing

Petar Bojić, Frans Schols, Janet Brien, Valfal and 6 other people have particularly liked this photo

We all have or have had one or more of these!
And yes they have been underrated, or at least taken for granted for far too long because they are certainly beautiful!

Yes they are certainly beautiful plants - they are probably popular because they are so easy to look after. I intend to re-pot it after it's stopped flowering.

Wow, these flowers are gorgeous, Jenny! They look a little different than the flowers my of Christmas cactus. Have a good week, my friend :-)

Maybe it's because I have the Easter Cactus - I've just looked up the flower of the Christmas Cactus and they are totally different to mine - you're right. I do like the flowers though - so I might just think about getting one - then I will have colour all year round on the kitchen window sill.

Oh Jenny, what a beautiful flower!! The color and shape of the blossom is fabulous. Very nice composition too! :) I'll have to come back and read your blog when I can...I'm busy commenting for the first time in a long while! YAY! So nice to visit friends on ipernity! :)

The Squidgy Gang were playing hide and seek under the covers this morning and just as I'd grab for one, off it would zoom into the depth of blankets! "STORMY! You come back here this instant!" *giggle from under the covers* "GEORGE! FRONT AND CENTER!" *deeper giggles from elsewhere* "BUN?! Just what EXACTLY do you think you're doing, hiding from mom?!" *snickers from somewhere* Why, I had to pull all the covers and sheets off the bed before I could gather their darling, squirming, mischievous bodies into my arms before depositing them onto the bureau. Kisses from all pecking my cheekies and lovingly returned by me. I do love them ever so. :) Of course...when I told them we'd all be going out to the Oregon Coast in a couple of weeks...and they'd get to learn about the beach, sand castles and looking for sea shells and pretty pebbles...omg...it took an hour to round them up and settle them down again! :D :D

So lovely to hear from you again, Janet - I am so happy to hear that you are going out to the Oregon Coast again - you will feel so much better getting out and about and seeing places that you love. The gang will be very inquisitive and so you'll have to be rather strict with them, until they know they have to obey Mom!!! :D

I do hope you are feeling better now - things are hopefully on the way up again and things will soon start to feel normal again - whatever normal is!!!! LOL
