The trees along the sides of the pasture have slowly been creeping in over the years. They need to be cut back to keep the pasture open.

Mid-December and still no snow and not a good, hard, killing frost yet. I have actually had to mow this new patch of lawn I seeded a few months ago. I should be shoveling snow, not mowing grass!

Prepping the pasture for fall maintenance. Step three - use an old piece of chain link fence dragged behind the tractor to break up and spread the manure. A thing of beauty! Not pictured are step four - generously lime the pasture (done), and step five - spread seed in the spring (to do).
