Went to the local ski and skate swap this weekend hoping to upgrade my cross country ski equipment. I was looking for a taller boot with the new step in in bindings and a pair of skis that were more geared toward brush busting. Yep, I found a pair of skis that fit the bill; not quite back country skis, but more fitting to the type of skiing I do than touring skis. The boots? Well, that was a little more daunting. There was almost nothing in my size that would fit the bindings on the skis I chose except this pair. I tried - twice - to finagle a discount on them due to thier extreme ugliness, but no dice.
At least I'll be highly visible, right?
