Yes! Finally out on my new (used) skis! They're awesome, and the ugly yellow boots are the bomb. :)

Too busy shoveling to get out and about. Three day weekend ahead!

Went to the local ski and skate swap this weekend hoping to upgrade my cross country ski equipment. I was looking for a taller boot with the new step in in bindings and a pair of skis that were more geared toward brush busting. Yep, I found a pair of skis that fit the bill; not quite back country skis, but more fitting to the type of skiing I do than touring skis. The boots? Well, that was a little more daunting. There was almost nothing in my size that would fit the bindings on the skis I chose except this pair. I tried - twice - to finagle a discount on them due to thier extreme ugliness, but no dice. At least I'll be highly visible, right?

Hubby and I went snowshoeing after dark last night. I was wearing my super new ball cap, the one with the built in LED lights. Didn't really need the light for shoeing, just for getting in and out of the bindings.
