Contador II

The cabinets with the shape we see in this Manel piece were manufactured in Portugal from the second half of the 17th century and throughout the 18th century. Later, at the end of the 19th century, there was a revival of this seventeenth-century furniture and it became fashionable again to furnish offices or dining rooms in the fashion of the 17th century. Manel's Cabinet must be an example from the late 19th century, made to the taste of the second half of six hundred with many flowery inserts in the bottom drawers.
