Antioch School

I made a slight detour and passed by the old Antioch School on Sunday. I was wondering how it was doing after bad winter we had. Looks like a wall is falling in.
I was looking through my photos of this school and noticed the short history I wrote on it is no longer there. I’m guessing I must have added it to a comment box which didn't survive the transfer from Flickr to Ipernity. I first couldn't decide if this once was a school or a church and I did some digging at the library and I found a short history on it. Someday … if I can find my photo copies I’ll add some information to the photos, but for now this one room school house has suffered from consolidation … twice. They built a new school in Hobbs, Indiana to accommodate students from the surrounding area and at some point the new school was condemned and the Antioch School was put back into service until another new school could be built. The students from this new school were later consolidated into another school as well.
