A Ride On The Escalator Slider Version

For this weeks' challenge, I took my image into Photoshop CS2 and in the Hue/Saturation window, I moved the Lightness slider a 100% to the right. Below is the original version of this image, in it's pre-altered state.



Edit to add: For clarificatin purposes, I want to point out that the only change I made to my original photograph was to use the slider. There was no cropping involved. Although it might hard to discern, my Challenge picture has the same 3:2 dimensions.

Since this week's challenge is so wide open, I may not be able to recognize what has been done with every picture. Excuse me if my comments sometimes seem minimal! Thanks!

I went 100% the other way first, but black just didn't work for me. Ha ha!

Reminds me of some artwork I saw years ago and it was all white.

Reminds me a lot of the trip I took to Utah a few years back and they had the biggest blizzard in 35 years. I saw nothing but white at times driving down those snow-blown roads!

That's what I call EXTREME sliding, lol!

You're preaching to the choir here Kenny. We all know about the the number of views, # of comments and favorites as it pertains to Explore. We just get a kick out of invading Explore the each week. :)

Very funny ... for a moment I thought I was back on flickr waiting for the image to appear, but then I thought no as everything was black and grey over there! ;)

I agree with Jon.. I was taken aback, and to say a little frustrated the limit was pushed so hard, but then as stoker said the sliders were slid.. so again I agree.

We all know that getting onto explore is just the fun of taking over if only for a few hours, it's all about so many comments and perhaps faves in such a short period of time.. we all know that. Like Chris said "you are preaching to the choir". It has nothing at all to do with the quality of the picture initially, after a while the good ones stay and the others just get dropped out.

None of us are in this group to get as many comments and views as possible (cause that picks my ass and out they would go) I am happy we are like a little family and we can go to a shot and put up an honest to goodness opinion... however that may go. I also really like that we can go to a shot and say "wow I really like the... " or "blaa why did you do a spider... " we are a very personal group... probably a rare breed.

So Kenny point made, case closed... we move on from here to the next challenge...

Interesting to prove a point :-) I think we take photos for fun and interest. If people like them that is a bonus. It seems pretty crazy that a blank image gets rated for Explore. It does make you wonder about the selection process. Agreed that the format in TSC does mean that everyone comments so more pics will get into explore anyway although have seen pics with very few comments etc which are excellent. Take it all with a pinch of salt :-) No worries :-)

It reminds me of that post-post-modernist classic, Polar Bear In The Snow. Best viewed on white. :)
