Bornsketaig Chuch,

Bornsketaig Chuch, Trotternish, Isle of Skye,
The church dates from 1810 and shown as still complete in 1903, but was in ruins in the early 1960s, it was apparently abandoned around 1924,

Thank you Dinesh, From what I can understand its location was and still is remote, so when a new church was built in a nearby village the congregation moved and this church was abandoned!

I used to be a fan of Runrig back in the day. In fact I have a recording (from the TV) of their final concert. It's over 3 hours long and I've not got round to watching it yet!

They came from the island originally!

That was an amazing concert and well worth watching, ,Carol has it on a dvd,
sadly the lead singer has passed away, his illness was the reason for stopping!
