The Writing on the Wall, 1 pip & 1 note

The writing on the Marina wall (Far Side, large view required) is a quote from Samuel Taylor Coleridge, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner which was inspired when Coleridge, Wordsworth, and Wordsworth's sister Dorothy visited while on a walking tour through the Quantock Hills in Somerset,
The Statue is of John Short (‘Yankee Jack’) born here in 1839 he went to sea and eventually joined a Yankee ship in the American Civil War, He was also a great singer of Sea Shanties and often sang on the quayside. The statue is by Alan B. Herriot, of Penicuik, Scotland.
The pip shows a statue of the Ancient Mariner holding the albatross, this was also designed and created by sculptor Alan B. Herriot, of Penicuik, Scotland, cast by Powderhall Fine Art Foundries in Edinburgh.
HFF and a good week to you all
