The Bay is a part of the Bristol Channel, which has a 15 m tidal range which is the 2nd highest in the world and I can assure you waves break over the top of the wall when high tides are driven by an Atlantic storm front,

A gorgeous shot Roger...........the late afternoon light is beautiful and has brought out the lovely warm colour of the sea wall and steps. I love the sky, especially the hint of pink along the horizon.

The tides this week are thankfully no more than 5 meters, which means water can be pumped away from the levels around the clock,
I have images somewhere of waves breaking over the top when high tide coincided with a storm
