End of the Breakwater

Breaking composition rules, maybe, but this is my take on the lighthouse at Lybster Harbour.
The entrance to the port is between the rocks and the breakwater, which must make for an interesting ride when the North Sea swells and gales come along,
One of the many offshore wind farms on the horizon. Large perhaps,

Hermoso paisaje marítimo terrestre. Creo ver que el parque eólico está anclado sobre espigones de hormigón... también los tenemos aquí, pero hay un proyecto en Bizkaia de fabricar y anclar sobre la mar estos “molinos” y el primer intento ha fracasado, sencillamente porque cuando transportaban el primero la mar estaba “enfadada". No sé los motivos de intentarlo ahora, pero hemos tenido todo el verano la mar como un plato que es cuando tenían que haberlo hecho. Esperan a que mejore. Por fin está lloviendo con ganas.

So called "photographic rules" are, at the most, starting point guidelines, Roger. This works well with the light and reflections. Reading your notes though, I think I'd be very nervous indeed about taking a boat between the breakwater and rocks!

Compositional rules be damned................this is my favourite shot of the day..!! I like the way you've composed it Roger.

I love the look of that lighthouse, with the red top and white walls making it stand out perfectly. The detail in the stonework of the breakwater is excellent and I like the colours of the grasses and rocks in the landscape.

Lovely light too, especially where it's reflected on the surface of the sea and I even like the wind farm along the horizon, which makes a nice point of interest.
