I think it took the snow and the light to help me notice them, Denis. I walked by here literally thousands of times on the way to the local subway station, and it was this day I noticed them.

Thanks, Keith I agree about the snow. Bob made a similar point. As I mentioned to Denis, I walked by this spot literally thousands of times without noticing the forms, and then...fresh snow.

Thanks, Joe.I think I had another version of this posted a few years ago, but I cropped it to focus on the trees and move the woman to the left. I found it interesting that when I flipped it horizontally it seemed wildly unbalanced compared to this.

A few tads, Sarah. One of the things I like about raw format is that you can sharpen raw files without creating ghosts. I did sharpen it again in jpeg, though. Wanted it to look like an etching.

An interesting point, John. I often have to zoom in (here I probably would have missed the shot if I hadn't). Often I end up discarding the result because it looks too artificial (like Trump's zoomed-uo photos of his inauguration -- which he didn't discard, of course).
