Waiting out the rain

Coming and going, coming and going, all in the rain. (I like the person with their jacket over their head to protect their cell phone as well as their hair.)

We had a little rain in San Francisco today, a big surprise, since we don't normally get any rain until late October. Needless to say, no one had an umbrella at hand or even a jacket (except yours truly, being Swiss and all.)

I expected Torontians (?) to be more prepared ...

I agree. The photos I took after they left were less interesting.

I had a collapsible umbrella in my knapsack but forgot I had it, Sarah, so I spent 20 minutes during an earlier shower hiding in an archway. I'd discovered the umbrella by the time I took this, but the rain was pelting down so I took cover anyway.

It rains here whenever it feels like it.

Hi, Léo. Yes, she was an important consideration in deciding which of the many shots I took to choose. Apart from being attractive she does have that aspect of divinity you mentioned -- she seems idealized compared to everybody else. I hadn't noticed that, so thanks for pointing it out.
