Toronto-Dominion Centre

Toronto-Dominion Centre
The building is the TD Bank Tower (Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Bregman + Hamann Architects, 1967) in Toronto. It is one of seven building that constitute the Toronto-Dominion Centre; three of them are by Mies and three more are in this style. The three buildings by Mies are the last of his North American period. This is the world HQ of TD Bank (aka Toronto-Dominion Bank and TD Canada Trust).

I missed your comment two months ago, Steve. Yes, I took the photo because of the woman. She was good enough to watch me take the photo, too, which I think gives her a strong character in the photo (as, I'm sure, in real life).

One of the characteristics of urban life, Gisela. I don't even know the names of most of the people in my apartment building.

You reminded me of some friends of mine who were living in a Swiss village. No one would talk to them, or to anyone who hadn't grown up there. I'll have to rethink my analysis of cities.
