Die Weinstöcke des Vignoble des Sables stehen schon seit ca. 1860 auf dem Sandboden in der Camargue. Größtenteils sind es Grenache-Trauben, Aus den roten Trauben mit ihrem weißen Saft wird dann der Gris de Gris abgezogen.
