César Baldaccini war ein bedeutender französischer Bildhauer, der in Marseille geboren wurde. Dort steht eines seiner bekanntesten Werke, "Le Pouce". Es ist ein Abdruck seines Daumens. Die Reproduktion ist 12m hoch und steht in Paris. Eine Kopie davon, hier im Bild, ist auch in Marseille auf einem Kreisverkehr zusehen.
