Die südöstliche Seite des Fort de la Platte wurd mit einem Verteidigungsgitter abgesichert. Somit kann der Schnee, der im Frühjahr abschmilzt ungehindert die Fläche des Fort verlassen. Heute ist die Anlage im Privatbesitz und betreibt eine Käserei, die hervoragende Käse im Direktverkauf anbietet.
