Green's Mill loading point, near North Lees Hall, Hathersage, Derbyshire

This is at the white coal lead smelting site close to the former Green's Mill at SK 2325 8375. The photo shows the track on the RH side leading to Green's House and the low stone walled embankment in the centre probably marks a loading point, perhaps where white coal was brought by packhorse or cart to the smelter and maybe also lead ingots taken away.
The ford over the Hood Brook immediately to the left is shown in this photo.
Green's Mill was a paper-mill and post-dates the lead smelting site and is set back a little way from here; the mill pond is still there.
