Ashover from the north east escarpment
The beautiful village of Ashover, Derbyshire nestles in the valley of the River Amber. Escarpments of Ashover Grit all around enhance the sheltered bowl-like setting for the village.

I was especially struck by the light and colours of the fresh foliage on this lovely Spring morning.
