My new ice cream maker arrived around noon... I'd already prepared the custard for a vanilla gelato the night before, and was all set to make the first batch once the machine was out of the box and set up on the counter; and then I noticed the bit about having to wait either 12 or 24 hours (depending on if you follow the instructions on the "quick start" card or in the full manual) after moving the machine around before using it. I was going to split the difference and start it when I woke up the next morning, but around 1:30 I decided that thirteen-ish hours was close enough. :)
