Cambus Limited 513 (F513 NJE) in Mildenhall – 28 May 1995 (268-24)

Sunday 28 May 1995 – For a number of years Cambus Limited worked the shuttle services as part of the Annual Air Fete held at RAF Mildenhall.

513 (F513 NJE), a Northern Counties bodied Leyland Olympian new in March 1989, is seen in Station Road, Barton Mills working from Newmarket to RAF Mildenhall.

Note the two items of temporary bus signage in place for the Air Fete. Halfway up the wooden pole in the centre of the photograph is a bus direction sign. Some of the drivers employed on the shuttle had come from Cambus garages out of the immediate area and such signs had been erected to provide direction assistance.

On the extreme right is a temporary timetable display set on a pole mounted in concrete within a piece of terracotta piping. Pretty good for information only applicable for one day.
