Bus Stop and the North Gate in Bridgnorth - 17 Apr 2023 (P1150128)

Monday 17 April 2023 (1631) – This bus stop outside the Bear Inn in Bridgnorth is no longer served by the bus services of the two main operators Arriva Midlands North and Diamond Bus – if it is actually served by any buses at all.

In the background is The North Gate, now the only remaining of the five town gates of Bridgnorth. The original structure dates from the 1740s although the outer facing dates from circa 1910.

Whereas Diamond Buses (working service 125 to Kidderminster and Stourbridge) leave town via a different route, all the Arriva services travel through the archway from this direction only and stop near the Harp Inn closer to the Town Hall.
