Saint Michael's bench - HBM

Saint-Michel chapel stands on a rocky outcrop and was a frequent stopover for many pilgrims on their way to Mont St Michel. The first chapel was built in 1613 on the site of a hermitage. It was destroyed during the Wars of Religion and again during the French Revolution. It was rebuilt in 1852. During the fighting in August 1944, it was partially destroyed and restored in 1955.

LE BANC DE SAINT-MICHEL. La chapelle Saint-Michel se trouve sur un éperon rocheux et était une halte fréquente pour de nombreux pèlerins vers le Mont St Michel. La première chapelle est construite en 1613 sur l'emplacement d'un ermitage. Elle est détruite pendant les guerres de religion et à nouveau pendant la Révolution, elle est reconstruite en 1852. .Pendant les combats d'août 1944 elle est partiellement détruite et restaurée en 1955.

DIE BANK DES HL. MICHAEL. Die Kapelle Saint-Michel steht auf einem Felsvorsprung und war ein häufiger Zwischenstopp für viele Pilger auf dem Weg zum Mont St. Michel. Die erste Kapelle wurde 1613 an der Stelle einer Einsiedelei errichtet. Sie wurde während der Religionskriege und erneut während der Franz. Revolution zerstört und 1852 wieder aufgebaut. Während der Kämpfe im August 1944 wurde sie teilweise zerstört und 1955 restauriert.
