Cette maison du 15e siècle dite la "Tour Eiffel" est l'emblème de la ville de Pontrieux. Autrefois sa silhouette élancée s'est démarquée des autres maisons. Anciennement désignée la "Maison Tour", elle prend le nom de Tour Eiffel au début du 20e siècle. Sa haute taille rappellerait la "dame de fer" parisienne construite en 1889.

THE "EIFFEL TOWER" OF PONTRIEUX. This 15th C. house known as the "Eiffel Tower" is the emblem of the city of Pontrieux. Formerly its slender silhouette stood out from other houses. First known as the "Maison Tour" (Tower house), it took the name of the Eiffel Tower at the start of the 20th C. Its tall stature was said to be reminiscent of the Parisian "iron lady" built in 1889.

DER "EIFFELTURM" von Pontrieux. Dieses als "Eiffelturm" bekannte Haus aus dem 15. Jh. ist das Wahrzeichen der Stadt Pontrieux. Seine hohe Silhouette hob sich früher von anderen Häusern ab. Ehemals als "Maison Tour" (Turmhaus) bekannt, nahm es Anfang des 20. Jh. den Namen Eiffelturm an. Seine hohe Statur sollte an die 1889 erbaute Pariser „Eiserne Dame“ erinnern.
