Holy benches... HBM

A church with unique furnishings ... After the altarpiece of the St Eustache chapel, here is the high altar (17th C.) with a tripartite structure both horizontal and vertical as well as the presence of a marble balustrade between the entablature and upper niches. Its originality is due to the presence of 16th C. wooden stalls (see PiP), decorated with heads (including one of a pig), the armrests are bird heads, and on the back we see a plant decoration (oak leaves, garlands of leaves ).

Great colours too.
I wonder why hardly anyone has used the 'Holy Benches' theme before!! It seems so obvious!!
Best Wishes, HBM, a nice week ahead, and stay safe!!
