I wonder whether these have evolved the perception to identify big beings such as humans and know that they are living beings. Probably they look at the movement of hand/camera and loot at it.

This same specimen came inside our house somehow, and hopped on the arm of my sofa, and I took the image. it took some time for it to realize some danger and then instantly it disappeared. That is when this thought came into me!!
