À l'époque, j'étais très jeune, mais je me souviens du moment où les Johnnies faisaient du porte-à-porte, portant leurs oignons tressées sur leurs vélos. Quand le Johnny arrivait chez nous, ma mère achetait toujours une tresse des oignons rosés. C'était dans les années 1950. Amitiés, Joe

Je trouve cela fascinant que tu as réellement vécu un pan de l'histoire que j'ai connu seulement par les livres. Aujourd'hui à Roscoff il y a toujours des Johnnies, mais c'est pour le folklore... Bonne fin de semaine, Joe (et à demain pour le HFF ;-))

Thank you, Ch H. I think you will like it, it's a wonderful little town with the label "Most Beautiful Villages of France". And from here you can take the ship to Ireland (14 hours crossing). I wish you great holidays in advance.
