Ring My Bell

Ring My Bell
The Time and Tide Bell at Bosta, Great Bernera, Isle of Lewis.

This bell is one of 12 situated around the coast of Great Britain, each being unique to it's own location.

The brainchild of sculptor, film-maker, composer and musician Marcus Vergette, the bells are rung by the movement of the tides and play constantly varying notes.

Thank you very much dear Christiane. I am so pleased you liked it and enjoyed the Abba track. The beaches here are really lovely, - clean and white and the sea is so blue that I didn't want to leave! Enjoy the rest of your week

A lovely, peaceful image which makes me want to sit on the sand and just drink in the smell of the sea and listen to the bell...wonderful.

Thanks for the information you provided, how interesting that there are a series of unique bells around the area. I also loved your links to musical pieces to go with your picture...heh...ABBA was such a total favorite of mine through my teen years! :)
