OOPS!!! HFF!!

I spotted this fence on the Isle of Lewis and Harris at Great Bernera, Outer Hebrides. It appears not to have served its purpose! I can only imagine it was broken by a not so sure footed sheep. I only hope the rest of the flock didn't just follow!

Thank you very much Ernst. Really appreciated. I have no idea but I imagine one of the sheep or cows must have leaned a little too heavily against it. It doesn't really look that sturdy anyway! A redesign may be needed.! HFF and have a lovely weekend.

Thank you very much Dimas. Really appreciated. It seemed an odd place for a fence and a bit of a strange design, and as you say it was not sturdy enough. I don't know about repairing it - maybe they should start again! HFF and have a good weekend.

I love it!! What a cool jumble of a broken fence! Nice find, and you know, I bet the sheepies or goaties were just fine after breaking the fence, it is truly amazing how they can regain their feet in treacherous spots!

Many thanks Janet. I think it was a bit of a crazy fence even before it was broken!!! I was pretty amazed to think anyone or anything got close enough to it to break it but you are right - the animals are pretty sure footed. HFF and have a lovely weekend.

I've just been watching the video, Carol. It fits the photo so well. We see broken fences in Norfolk but that's to do with cliff erosion. Let's hope that no-one got hurt falling against this fence.
